Devaki is a biology teacher at the same school attended by her stepdaughter Arya. Although, Devaki is a caring mother, Arya remains distant. One unfortunate night, Arya is brutally attacked. When the justice system fails them, Devaki faces some tough decisions and goes to great lengths to find justice for her daughter.
Mom is a 2017 Indian crime thriller film directed by Ravi Udyawar. Produced by Boney Kapoor, Sunil Manchanda, Mukesh Talreja, Naresh Agarwal and Gautam Jain, the film stars Sridevi, as a vigilante, who sets out to avenge her daughter, played by Sajal Ali. Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui play supporting roles in the film. Music for the film has been composed and produced by A. R. Rahman. Mom marked Sridevi’s 300th, and final major film appearance before her death on 24 February 2018.
