This 3D stereographic anaglyph medical animation shows the placement of an endoscope in the large colon (bowel) during a colonoscopy procedure. During a colonoscopy a biopsy is sometimes preformed to distinguish between benign and cancerous tissue. If polyps are found during the colonoscopy a polypectomy is generally preformed.
